MEET THE FINALISTS
The European Commission is pleased to announce the finalists for the European Capitals of Inclusion and Diversity Award 2026. From large metropolitan centres to small rural municipalities, this year’s finalists showcase diverse approaches and initiatives across the European Union that promote equality, protect fundamental rights, and enable full societal participation for all. Finalists have been selected in three categories: local authorities with more than 50,000 inhabitants, local authorities with less than 50,000 inhabitants and the Specific Award for Building an Inclusive Labour Market for All. The winners will be revealed at the Award Ceremony on 21 April 2026, in Brussels, coinciding with the start of European Diversity Month.
